How does Partnerprogramme.com select the Top Seven programs?
In our directory we list over 300 associate programs. We constantly evaluate the vendors that maintain these programs. Do they offer good quality products (or services) at competitive prices? Is the design and the navigation of their site good?
How´s their customer service? Their shipping? Do they offer high commissions to their associates? Is their tracking technology state of the art and working properly? Do they provide informative reports? Are they paying associates on time? Are questions of associate answered and problems fixed?
To answer these questions we join the associate program, promote the offered products or services on one of our many web sites and then monitor the results. We occasionaly place test orders, to see if they are fulfilled properly and if commission is credited correctly to the associate.
The selected top seven programs did best on most of these questions. However, while the results were good for us, there is no gurantee that these associate programs will perform well on your homepage, too.
1. Amazon.com
Pioneer of associate programs, amazon.com is really the best associate program. It offers quick and easy setup of links including a search box, a huge inventory of titles (over 2 million books, cds and videos) which
is sold at competitive prices, customer reviews are offered for most titles, associates can get graphics of nearly all covers for use on their site, informative weekly reports, quarterly payment (on time), good customer support, good associate support, correct tracking of commissions and an online newsletter to associates.
A positive factor is that `Amazon´ has reached brand recognition, which makes it more probable that the customer will actually conduct a sale instead of just browsing the site.
Commissions are 15 percent on directly linked titels sold (occurs rarely) and 5 percent on nearly all other titles (the majority of commissions are paid at 5 %). Payout is delayed until commission tops 10 $ (100$ stated in associate agreement are not enforced).

If you are an associate of Amazon.com and send many visitors to them with a search form, you may want to consider to use Maxcomm (free) or
Anaconda (purchase) , both are cgi-scripts, to maximize your resulting commissions.
2. One-and-Only
One-and-Only is the leader in internet personals. It offers easy set-up of a co-branded site. You can use several parameters (e.g. regional selection) to achieve a better fit to your visitors demographics.
The program offers email reports, an email newsletter, some banners, good support of associates and best of all a good commission rate:
Commissions are 15 percent on sales referred by the partner and 5 percent on sales of any partner that the partner signed up (two-tier).

3. Commission Junction 
Commission Junction is an Affiliate Network. Once you have joined (free) the network, you are then able to select from over 50 merchants paying per sale, per lead or per click. A main advantage is that Commission-Junction consolidates commission payout from all merchants to you. This speeds up payment, for you reach the minimum payout threshold of 25 US$ much easier. In addition you earn US$ 1 and 5% for referring new affiliates to the network.

4. Internet Marketing Center
One of the best sold courses on Internet Marketing, this course by Corey Rudl is full of top-rate information totaling 500 pages.
The associate program pays 75 US$ on direct sales and 25 US$ two-tier comissions. You´ll get access to online statistics.
Best feature of this associate program is that it pays you even if they visitor you referred does not buy at once but comes back

5. Winning the Affiliate Game
is the title of the new, great book on affiliate programs written by Declan Dunn. It shows you how to be more successful in making money participating
in affiliate programs.
The associate program pays 25 % on direct sales and 10 % two-tier comissions. You´ll get access to online statistics.

6. Bach Systems
Bach Systems offers a wide selection of per-lead advertising campaigns, including sweepstakes, free trial offers, free catalogues and demo versions of software to download. While most of these offers are free to the surfer, you as the webmaster get payed $0.50 to $15.00 (depending on the offer) per lead.
Ain´t this great? You don´t have to sell anything but still earn commissions! And it gets even better, because this program is two-tier meaning you earn 10 percent of the commissions generated by webmasters you reffered. To apply you should have decent traffic (at least 500 visitors per day).
Bach Systems has online stats, which are updated weekly. Most campaigns allow banner as well as text links.

7. Autoweb.com
This program is great because you are paid 2 $ without having to sell anything. Partners earn two dollars on each referred visitor that requests a free new or used car price quote.
Further offers 5 $ commission on sale of a used car sales ad. Correct tracking, with good online reports. Quarterly payout; payout is delayed until commission tops 100 $.
